I invited my friend Xiu Yan to the game last Tue. The game was held in Singapore Indoor Stadium as usual. When we arrived, the game already started. We sat with other bloggers in Box T34. The audience were less than last game, when many Filipino fans came to support their favourite team. I also suspect the timing as a weekday night may not be very appealing. But the cheering was still as high as previous games.
These two teams have met in Brunei Cup, and Slingers have won by slight margin. But this time Slingers have won nicely (91-65). The game was very tight during 1st half, but Slingers began to lead during 2nd half. There were a lot of 3-pts, dunks and rebounds. The team star Darren Ng shot 33 pts, which has wowed everybody in the stadium. According to our Dear Doc, this is his highest record for the games in Singapore. Eric Sandrin has 16 pts, with many beautiful dunks. It is also good to watch JJ (the player with same birth date as me) playing for the first time. (He used to sit beside the DJ updating game scores.) Pathman was not in S’pore on that day. According to Darren, Pathman and Desmond were in the national team competing in Taiwan.
Details of the game can b viewed on http://www.singaporeslingers.com/index.php/2008/12/17/slingers-beats-darwin-all-stars-in-“dunk-fest”/
I was sitting a bit far, so the figures in the photo all look very small.

Last Sat Amy, Cathy and I went to a martial arts themed restaurant in Chinatown. This restaurant has been very famous in China for its unique business positioning, with presence in every major city. We were thrilled to find out there is one branch in S’pore. I think the S’pore branch is the only overseas one.

Do u noe this is the entrance to which place?

How abt this Wulin forbidden area?

Food we ordered

One morning, when I scooped a spoon of honey to my metal bowl and was about to dissolve it with water. My landlord’s mum warned me:” You shouldn’t touch honey with metal spoon or bowl because they react.” What? It was my first time of 25 years’ life hearing abt such saying. So now if you also wonder why, my title shouldn’t sound too silly.
I have googled the reasons for this. Here’s the ans.
Honey is acidic with pH value from 3.2 to 4.5, so it will accelerate metal corrosion. That’s why honey spoon is normally made of wood. Similarly, if we eat acidic food with aluminium containers, we will end up with eating aluminium and easily get Alzeheimer.
One more note to take when eating honey: do not mix it with hot water bcoz hot water will destroy the nutrients. So use luke warm or cold water.
Hope now everyone know how to drink honey correctly. ^_^
It finally comes to the last event of the course, yearbook photo taking.
My slot is at 12pm and we are supposed to be there (Level 5, Lee Kong Chian School of Business, SMU) 20min earlier to prepare. I had some trouble of getting my makeup done, so had to take a cab to school.
When I arrived, it was several min past 12pm. The ppl in my grp were already posing, so I joined the next grp. It was really nice to meet some of my dear classmates once again. We had some chat and laugh until it was our turn to take the photo. Since there are many students in the program, we would have a grp photo. I think this is conceptually good bcoz it is all teamwork throughout the course and business is nvr a solo. In my grp, 3 are from MAF and the other 2 are from MAF (China). We were guided to pose and smile. My fringe kept dropping down to cover my left eye, so the assistant needed to fix it every few min. Sometimes I tend to look at somewhere else, so I was asked to look at the camera. Initially Annabel was supposed to stand in the middle, holding her glasses in her hands, sort of like celebrities endorsing some branded product. She was then asked to pose in another way, although I liked the original pose.
Overall, it was faster than expected , 15-20min. And I was having fun.
P.S. The yearbook will b published mid of next yr, so I guess I can only c the photos till then.
Lovely Annabel~~~

To follow the trend, sense about fashion and good figure are essential. Face can b made up, but body can’t b modified easily. A poor person can b trendy as long as he is sensitive abt color, material and style. A piece of cloth can become a beautiful dress. I only knew this after I watched “Project Runway”. I’ll make posts on some of my favourite designers in the show some time later.
NY Fashion Week is definitely one of the icons in the fashion industry. Just let us see where the trend is going from the stars and models.
It’s been less than one week after the last paper of MAF (MSc in Applied Finance) course, but I start missing SMU (Singapore Management University) already. Much more, the experienced lecturers, the amazing classmates, the interesting lecturers and the projects which always made me lack of sleep. Well. I’ll try to fully utilize the uni facilities (library and gym) b4 my student card expires.
I’ve taken some photos of SMU campus two weeks ago with my Nokia N78, after Structured Product exam. Hope u all like them as much as I do.
